New Partnership with NTEC

Richardson, TEXAS – September 5, 2006 --- The North Texas Enterprise Center for Medical Technology (NTEC), an incubator for medical device and healthcare related technology firms, today announced the addition of Hostnet, Inc. as an NTEC Preferred Partner.  “We are fortunate that Hostnet, Inc. has chosen to join our network of NTEC key contributors” said Larry Calton, executive director of NTEC.  “We will be working closely with the Hostnet team as NTEC continues to grow and expand our work with emerging medical device companies throughout the Southwest.”

“Most companies in an incubator or emerging stage may not have the start up capital for information technology which allows them to focus on bringing their product to market, we do that for them,” explains Matt Ramsey, President and CEO of Hostnet.  “The Hostnet model gives the companies that are incubating access to fortune 500 technologies like Microsoft Exchange for email, secure backup for business continuity, secure VPN - ability to work from home and a professional customer service department to support you 24/7.”

Hostnet offers a new approach to managing information technology services by providing the technology/hardware and the support services to growing professional organizations at a fraction of the costs of hiring a full-time IT person.

“We are committed to the mission of NTEC because they are helping to create companies, which the local economy will benefit from when the companies move on to become much larger entities and find a home here in North Texas.  To be a part of this and help them with their technology needs is very important to our mission” said Matt Ramsey.
